ZMR - Mixer Disassembly

  1. Place the mixer on the bench and secure the propeller to the hoist with a suitable tie
  2. Remove the propeller
  3. Extract the split pins and remove the sliding cylinders
  4. Remove the runner and the plastic guard
  5. Remove the bracket
  6. Sling the motor in a horizontal position with suitable slings and eye-bolts
  7. Dismantle the supporting bracket and remove the plastic guards
  8. Remove the collars and the lifting handle
  9. Undo the reduction gearbox case plug and collect the oil in a suitable container
  10. Undo the front cover plug and collect the oil in a suitable container
  11. Stand the motor on the bench
  12. Remove the cable gland
  13. Remove the rear cover
  14. Cut the cables of the stator, the thermal protections and the sensor
  15. Remove the ground connection screw
  16. Remove the cable stop and extract the cable from the cover
  17. Extract the O-ring from the seat
  18. Using two suitable screws, extract the rear bearing support
  19. Extract the O-ring from the seat
  20. Overturn the motor
  21. Remove the front cover
  22. Remove the counterface
  23. Fix an eye-bolt to the shaft
  24. Remove the sensor cable gland
  25. Using a hoist, lift the shaft and the front bearing support
  26. Remove the O-rings from the seats
  27. Remove the first mechanical seal and the washer
  28. Remove the snap ring and the second mechanical seal
  29. Remove the snap ring
  30. Separate the shaft from the bearing support by tapping gently with a rubber hammer
  31. Remove the snap ring from the front bearing support
  32. Remove the bushing and extract the second counterface and the O-ring
  33. Remove the snap ring then use an extractor to separate the bearings from the shaft
  34. Extract the planetary gear set
  35. Undo the reduction gearbox case screws and extract the crown gear
  36. Separate the reduction gearbox case from the motor
  37. Extract the rotation stop pins
  38. Remove the sun gear and the paper gasket
  39. Extract the O-ring from the seat
  40. Unscrew the sensor cable gland
  41. Remove the snap ring and extract the mechanical seal
  42. Remove the snap ring
  43. Remove the bushing and extract the counterface and the O-ring
  44. Remove the key
  45. Remove the snap ring
  46. Fit the press with a driver suitable for extraction of the rotor
  47. Place paper or rags underneath to cushion its fall
  48. Extract the rotor with the aid of a press
  49. Use a driver to avoid damaging the top of the shaft
  50. Remove the bearing using an extractor
  51. Carefully arrange the cables inside the motor case
  52. Fit the stator extractor plate (use the appropriate model for the motor)
  53. Remove the sensor, bearing and washer from their seats
  54. Extract the stator using a suitable press and driver 
  55. Place paper or rags underneath to cushion its fall
