UNIQA - ZUG GR WET

Disassembly - Complete mechanical seal disassembly and oil change procedure for Zenit UNIQA submersible pumps. The procedure also involves adjustment of the impeller and chopper knife clearance. Models with grinding system (ZUG GR) in WET version.
  1. Undo the chopper knife fixing screw and remove it
  2. Undo the chopper plate fixing screw and remove it
  3. Fit a screw into the seat in the shaft to lock the impeller in place
  4. Undo the pump body screws and remove it
  5. Release the impeller with the aid of a lever
  6. Undo the impeller fixing screw and remove the impeller
  7. Screw a male eye-bolt onto the shaft and lift the motor with a hoist
  8. Drain the oil from the chamber into a suitable container
  9. CAUTION take care when unscrewing the caps as there may be pressure inside the chamber
  10. Remove the handle
  11. Place the motor vertical on a firm support in a position which does not crush the cables
  12. Remove the paper seals
  13. Remove the V-ring
  14. Undo the fixing screws of the pump plate and remove it
  15. Undo the fixing stud bolts of the casing with a hex key and remove it
  16. Remove the seal
  17. Remove the flange snap ring
  18. To remove the seal flange, fit an eye-bolt onto the shaft and lift it with a hoist
  19. Unscrew the male eye-ring from the shaft and remove the sealing flange
