UNIQA - ZUG V WET

Disassembly - Complete mechanical seal Disassembly and oil change procedure for Zenit UNIQA submersible pumps. Models with vortex impeller (ZUG V) in WET version. High pressure mechanical seals.
  1. Place the pump vertical on the workbench
  2. Undo the pump body screws
  3. With a hoist, lift off the motor by the handle
  4. Hang the motor section with the impeller over a firm support to hold the motor while the impeller is removed
  5. Loosen the impeller fixing screw but do not remove it
  6. Use a lever to free the impeller from its tapered seat
  7. Undo the impeller fixing screw and remove it
  8. With a hoist, lift up the motor and lay it horizontal on the workbench
  9. Screw a male eye-bolt onto the shaft
  10. Drain the oil from the chamber into a suitable container
  11. CAUTION take care when unscrewing the caps as there may be pressure inside the chamber
  12. With a hoist, lift the motor by the shaft
  13. Remove the handle
  14. Place the motor vertical on a firm support which does not crush the cable
  15. Remove the V-ring
  16. Undo the screws of the pump plate and put it on the workbench
  17. Undo the counterface locking ring screws and remove the oil cage, O-ring and counterface
  18. Remove the seal
  19. Undo the fixing stud bolts of the casing and remove it
  20. Remove the snap ring that secures the seal
  21. Remove the seal using 2 levers
  22. Remove the snap ring that secures the flange
  23. Screw a male eye-bolt onto the shaft and lift it up to remove the flange. Use a Teflon hammer if necessary
  24. Unscrew the male eye-ring from the shaft and remove the sealing flange
  25. Remove the seal from the flange
  26. CAUTION To avoid damaging the seal, do not use metal tools
