R&d – testing department

The R&D department in Italy handles research and development activities using latest generation finite element software design packages, with which it is possible to generate fluid dynamic and electromagnetic simulations and structural calculations.

With its experience and professionalism the Italian R&D department can fully support the production and sales bodies in the execution of all custom orders and alignment with current standards.

Its collaboration with several prestigious Italian Universities is of particular importance. The ongoing exchange of ideas and the resulting successful synergy created with the various university teams has led to the development of major research projects.

Rigorous product testing gets under way right from the embryonic phase of the project at a new and modern laboratory facility, where the hydraulic testing of prototypes and standard products can be performed to establish the curves and characteristics of each electric pump. Electrical and mechanical studies are also carried out on motors to establish absorption, performance and working temperatures.

This plant also has a computerized system for the acquisition and processing of the main working parameters, as well as a 150,000 litre capacity tank, where any type of test can be carried out. A copy in electronic form of the test results  for each product is stored on the DPC server.

In order to remain equal to addressing every situation and satisfying any request Zenit is currently completing the construction of a new testing tank - one of Europe’s largest – for further testing of electric pumps and products for the oxygenating and mixing sector.
